- 2005-2012 Xterra (N50) VQ40DE 4.0L
- 2005-2011 Frontier (D40) VQ40 4.0L
Required to hold the engine stationary while tightening the harmonic balancer to specs.
Use J-44716 or J-50288 on 3.5L VQ35DE. (Workshop manuals are often wrong regarding this job. You’ll need to contact us with the VIN so we can look for any ring gear TSB’s to determine which of the two tools you’ll need.)
Use J-48641 on 3.5L VQ35HR & 3.7L VQ37VHR.
