Mopar Tools 10117A Output Shaft Seal Installer
The Mopar Tools 10117A Output Shaft Seal Installer is designed to install the Front Output Oil Seal in the MP3010 Transfer Case.
To use this tool, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the transfer case is securely supported and in a position that allows easy access to the front output shaft.
2. Remove dirt or debris around the front output shaft and oil seal.
3. Lubricate the outer diameter of the new output shaft seal with clean transmission fluid or oil.
4. Position the seal installer tool over the output shaft seal, ensuring the tool is centered and aligned.
5. Apply even pressure to the installer tool, gently pushing the seal into place.
6. Continue to push the seal into position until it is fully seated and flush with the transfer case housing.
7. Remove the seal installer tool carefully, ensuring it does not damage the newly installed seal.
8. Inspect the seal to ensure it is properly seated and has no visible gaps or misalignment.
9. Reinstall any other components removed during installation. 10. Test the transfer case to ensure proper operation and check for leaks.
