MODEL EH28 | CENTER HUNG, SINGLE ACTING FLOOR CLOSER
The Norton Rixson EH28 Series is a single-acting, center-hung floor closer designed for power transfer from the frame to the door through the closer spindle for interior or exterior doors weighing up to 500lbs.

- Available non-hold open (N) or selective hold open (S) at the same degree as dead stop
- Built-in positive dead stop prevents doors from swinging beyond the desired opening degree; specify 85°, 90°, 95°, or 105°
- Provides power transfer through closer spindle; low voltage, class II wiring (2 wire, 18 gauge only)
- Separate and independent valves for closing speed, latch speed, and backcheck
- Cast iron cement case
- Not allowed for fire-rated doors
- Frame stop required on the header at lock side; if not supplied by the frame manufacturer, Norton Rixson 60131 recommended
- 2″ minimum door thickness
- 587 is a special side load arm for 1-3/4” thick doors; this arm allows the pivot point to be moved away from the pivot edge of the door – minimum 2-3/4” backset
- Available with floor plate or threshold installation
- Furnished with wood and machine screws
- Door sizes up to 4’0″ x 8’6″ (1219 x 2591mm)
